How much does a fitness photoshoot cost?

How much do headshots and commercial photography cost?
Headshots start from £50 and commercial photography for businesses and brands starts from £375. Every commercial job is different, so the best way to get an exact price is a quick call on 07767 871345.
What’s included in a fitness photoshoot?
Every package includes full help with posing, professionally edited high-resolution images and your own private client gallery. Gym shoots include up to four outfit changes at a gym of your choice. A makeup artist is available at extra cost.
Where do the photoshoots take place?
In my private studio in Plymouth, at a gym of your choice, or at outdoor locations across Devon, Cornwall and the South West.
I’ve never done a photoshoot before. Is that a problem?
Not at all. Most of the people I photograph have never done a shoot before. I guide every pose, angle and expression, so you never need modelling experience.
Who do you photograph?
Athletes, personal trainers, bodybuilding competitors and fitness businesses, plus boudoir and empowerment clients. I’ve photographed over 1,000 clients in 15 years in business.
How should I prepare for a fitness or bodybuilding photoshoot?
Ease off very heavy sessions in the days before so your muscles look fresh rather than fatigued, stay well hydrated and avoid foods that make you bloated. A light pump just before the shoot helps definition. My full fitness photoshoot preparation guide covers training, nutrition, clothing and posing.
What should I wear?
Fitted gym wear works best because it shows your shape and definition. Bring a few options, such as shorts, leggings, sports bras, stringers or fitted vests, in simple colours with minimal branding. Competitors should also bring posing trunks, bikinis or competition wear.
Can I bring a friend or my coach?
Yes, you’re welcome to bring a friend, partner or coach for support on the day.
Do you offer boudoir and empowerment photoshoots?
Yes. Boudoir and empowerment sessions are private, relaxed studio shoots tailored to your comfort level, style and ideas, from soft and elegant to dark and cinematic. See my boudoir photography.
Do you photograph bodybuilding shows and fitness events?
Yes. I photograph bodybuilding competitions and fitness events across the South West, including Mr & Miss Devon. See fitness event photography.
Can gyms and personal trainers book group shoots?
Yes. Group gym photoshoots start from £150 per person and include five edited images each, a private client gallery and social-media-sized images.
How soon will I receive my photos?
Turnaround is usually one to four weeks depending on workload. Your images are delivered through a private online client gallery.
Can I use the photos for my business and social media?
Yes, you can use your images for personal and professional use, including social media, websites and marketing for your coaching or gym business.
How do I book?
Call me on 07767 871345 or send a message through the contact page. Availability is limited each month, so it’s worth getting in touch early, especially before a competition.
