Cute Baby photography in Cornwall

The beautiful Kaia was born at the end of August to doting parents Chrissie and Toby. We had planned the baby photography at my base here in Cornwall while Kaia was still only a few days old. Unfortunately things didn’t go quite to plan due to a few complications. So rather than miss the opportunity I packed my studio into my car and drove the 200 miles to Ash Green to Kaia’s family home.

I recommend that newborn baby photo shoots happen between birth and 14 days old, especially if you wish to have the cute wrinkly newborn look. Kaia was 22 days old so a little bit beyond sleepy newborn so I decided to use her alertness to our advantage.

Toby looks after himself so it seemed a shame to not get his top off and remove Kaia’s nappy for a bit of skin to skin time. I remember as a new parent I spent all my time trying to make sure our little boy kept a nappy on at all times, fearing for the inevitable open air fountain experience that comes with the territory! I am pleased to say Kaia didn’t let us down and felt the need to have a little tinkle all over Toby’s back much to the amusement of mum and grandma both watching on!
It was worth it – we managed to capture some very precious moments and pieces of artwork which will hopefully be passed down through generations.
