Cute Newborn photography in Cornwall

I have been out of the newborn photography scene for some time now, choosing to (excuse the pun) focus on fitness and wedding photography. However, when two of my previous wedding couples independently approached me to photograph their impending deliveries, both due within a week of each other I figured it was time to come out of retirement and get shooting. It was a race between the couples as to whose baby would be born first but in the end it was Cruz Garcia that popped out first!

I recommend that newborn baby photo shoots happen between birth and 14 days old, especially if you wish to have the cute wrinkly newborn look. I got a call from Cruz’s dad the day after he was born and we planned a day at the studio a couple of days later. Newborn babies sleep for huge amounts of the day and that obviously helps to achieve that adorable sleepy look! However, Cruz had other ideas about sleeping but patience is an absolute must when photographing babies and before long he closed his eyes to go to sleep. So we got to work!
